I would like to think that sometime now or in the near future I might be of some small benefit to someone here so I will post a small intro and then quietly await any need requests should they arise.

My name is John Getson and I am 22 yrs married with two sons. I have worked for a time in the public sector with the local provincial government but the majority of my experience has been in private sector in various capacities from marketing to production to management.

By my nature I consider myself to be a generalist more than a specialist — someone who can assist people see their forest rather than the trees. The majority of people spend the largest chunk of the time putting out small fires while the entire forest is being lost.

By training I am a chef, a network administrator, a business/technology manager with some accounting background with several years as enterprise-level support for a major US based ISP. And recently as the leading brand retention specialist for a fortune 500 pharamceutical company.

As I write this I am currently unable to “work” in the traditional sense, due to injuries received as a result of two major motor vehicle accidents – my first accident was in June ’03, the other was in Nov 07.

but I’d have to say that the past few years or so has been a pretty big change for me… not only was I able to purchase a couple of new vehicles, run off on a couple of great vacations, take in several amazing concerts by some of the worlds best performers.
